For Mentees

Mentees who are selected to participate in the AMP Mentorship Program can expect to:

  • Receive support and encouragement for professional development
  • Learn about organizational cultures at UC San Francisco
  • Expand understanding of how to get things done effectively and efficiently
  • Enhance skills and experience
  • Increase network of contacts
  • Gain an overview of the 'big picture' at UC San Francisco
  • Commit an average of three hours per month for Mentor Meetings & Mentee Meetings

Program eligibility criteria:

  • Current member of AMP (see AMP application) at time of application
  • Submit application to mentorship program during application period (see Calendar of Events)
  • Administrative Assistant III to Analyst V (or equivalent)
  • Employed at UC San Francisco for at least one year at the time of application, in a permanent career position at 50% time or more
  • Supervisor/departmental support, if release time is required; however no one will be excluded
  • Realistic expectations of the mentorship experience
  • Commitment to UC San Francisco as an employer
  • Clear writing skills, resourcefulness, creativity and curiosity
  • Demonstrated commitment to self-development
